To provide fine-grained control over access to different features, Doubleknot supports more than 30 different kinds of user permissions. Doubleknot also supports role-based permissions so you can create "roles" that contain the right set of permissions for a job function. When you assign administrators to a role, they automatically receive all the permissions associated with the role.

The Sales Station permission supports three levels of access: Update, Create and Administrator. Complete information about Sales Station permissions is located the next section. Basic guidelines for Sales Station administrator privileges are the following:
- To allow staff to configure Sales Station options including setting station types and register keys, assign the Administrator permission.
- To allow staff to use Sales Station at a POS register or on a mobile device but not allow them to configure Sales Station, assign the Create permission.
