In the Online Store, an organization can create a product family. A product family is used in the online store to show all the options available for a specific product. For example, if the organization is selling a polo shirt that come in multiple sizes and colors, a product family must be created to show the customer all options.
The organization will have to create a parent product (the polo shirt) and define all attributes specific to that product (size, color, sleeve length, etc.). Once those attributes are in place, the organization can create multiple child products, each differentiated by attribute options. In this case, the organization could create a child product of the polo shirt and define it by a specific color and size. If the organization creates as many child products as there are variables to the product, the customer will see all of these within the online store. The customer can then filter the color and size they are interested in and purchase that item.
